Ibis Annemasse-Geneve Hotel Ambilly, Ambilly

I found the hotel room to be perfect for a budget price, very clean with a double and single bed as requested. However, there was a strong cigarette smell despite being a non-smoking room. The service was pleasant and courteous, although I witnessed some unhygienic methods outside the room. The location, though helpful for non-native speakers and surrounded by restaurants, sadly gave off a drab and run-down impression. The dining options were not special and not included in the price. Overall, it was a good value for money stay.

The hotel offers a lovely view of distant hills from the somewhat unclean room that smelled like mold, with a broken window that couldn't be locked. The service is excellent and very helpful in resolving issues, though a bit more friendliness is needed. The location, while just outside Geneva and close to good eating places, is sadly drab and not inviting for walks. The dining experience is nice but could improve with more variety. The facilities are adequate but could use some upgrades.
